So, on with the updates. As you know, Bachan came in town right before Easter. We planned a wonderful Easter dinner, and she and I drove to Grandview to pick up organic ham, lamb, and sausage (and some more dog bones for Goose). I have to tell you, this is the second order that we have placed through Burgundy Pasture Beef. We had the last order delivered to our house, and the meat was wonderful, and the delivery was as promised. We had just ordered some ground beef for KP, and some organs and bones for Goose in that order since we were just trying them out. Well, this time we got a leg of lamb, a nice sized pasture-fed ham, and some sausage. I was very pleased with the quality of the meat, and feel that we have now sampled a good variety of what they have to offer. As many of you know, I only order online because I don't actually like talking to real people, but I have talked to them a couple of times, the first to confirm the delivery, and the second to confirm that our order would be ready for pick-up. Both times, they were super friendly and helpful. I am a big supporter of eating organic and buying local, and so I feel that buying from places like this is important. So, if you find yourself interested, but not quite sure about the 10lb minimum (for delivery), let me know what you would like, and I will be more than happy to add it to our next order.
On Saturday, we packed everyone up in the car and drove out to Granbury to see Mamaw, Papaw, Uncle Josh, Uncle Jam Jam and Josiah. Yep, pretty full house out there in Granbury. We stayed at The Plantation Inn out of everyone's way. :)

Unfortunately, Uncle Jam Jam had to work most of the weekend, but we did get to spend some time with Uncle Josh and Cousin Josiah.

We went out on the boat, and KP got to drive. :) I stood up from taking pictures of KP and Papaw and realized that the boat was traveling in circles in the middle of the lake -- because KP was the only one steering! :) He had SO much fun with that.

Sunday was forecasted to be a dreary day, and Uncle Jam Jam had to work that afternoon, so we had our Easter Egg Hunt inside. It was so much fun! KP and Josiah did such a good job finding their eggs that their dads had hidden...just a note to you moms out there -- don't let the dads hide the eggs.

Anyhow, by the end of the hunt, Josiah figured out that there was food inside the eggs, and KP got bored and started dumping all of his eggs into Josiah's basket -- which turned out to be just fine with Josiah. :)

We also gave them some books and bubbles for Easter, and the boys had fun playing with them. Josiah is a big boy and was able to blow lots of bubbles. KP kept putting the wand up to his nose and getting mad because nothing was happening. :) We'll work on that. He just doesn't get the concept of blowing yet. :)

Then, on Sunday afternoon, we got a real treat, and Uncle Chris and Aunt Edith were able to come out for dinner. They brought their brand new Maltese, Keysa, which is the most adorable little puppy you have ever seen. And so sweet, too. So, the boys got to play with her, too. They all shared a love of toy cars. :)

Dinner was delicious. Even the boys (big and small) tried some of the lamb. The little ones liked it, I'm not sure about the big ones. :) It was so nice being able to feed KP directly from the table like we do at home since we planned the meal based on what foods he could eat and made sure that everything was organic. It really added to the family atmosphere (and it made for less tantrums on his part). :)
We were able to get a family picture before everyone had to go home, and all in all, we had a great Easter weekend.

xoxo
