Real short update: Everett is resting at home - semi comfortably... as comfortable as one can be after surgery. He's fussier that usual right now but, knowing him, he should be back to his normal happy self in a day or so.
Mom & Bachan brought him to the hospital at 6:30am this morning (Dad was sick so he stayed home.). He went in for anesthesia at 9:30am and was in recovery before 11am... short and sweet. The doctor said everything went as planned. Everett's post-surgery check-up will be in two weeks. Scheduling of his next big surgery will be a topic of discussion at that time.
Now he has two more small scars. His incision is held together with "super glue" and steristrips..no need to remove stitches. Other than a ban on tub baths for 48 hours and making sure we support his bottom when we pick him up - to keep the incision area from being stretched - he doesn't have any restrictions.
Where did you guys have the surgery at? I'm proud of you for posting more than once in a month. I was cracking up at him entertaining the camera & laughing! Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteSorry Everett, for posting late. I am so glad everything went well with the hernia operation. You are a tough little cookie. I love you and I was just thrilled that you held your arms out to Aunt Katanna over at Aunt Cindy's house on Easter Sunday. I hope you knew it was really me and not a Mimi look-a-like!!!! Keep Mommy and Daddy in line and give your Bachan lots of kisses....for all her great care while Mommy and Daddy work.
