September

September was a month full of changing routines. KP started school, and Dylan transitioned back to his 9-5. With all of that, we really didn't take very many pictures this month, but here is what we've got.

This is the beginning of KP's shoe obsession. He loves putting on "Mommy's shoes" and "Daddy's shoes" and walking around the house in them.

In case you were wondering, he is still cute, but now he knows it.

Cheese

We have begun the battle of potty training. This is when KP was experimenting with privacy. We got kicked out. "Mommy out. Daddy out. I'm pooooooping." Okay.

But then he changed his mind and decided that Mommy HAD to be sitting in the bathroom with him to continue. "Mommy - SIT DOWN!"

Daddy has gotten a new job as a horse.

And in case you've ever wondered what it would be like to eat breakfast (or any meal for that matter) with KP, here is a preview.

first day of preschool

KP started preschool on Monday. Margot will supply details later ... Bachan will post photos.

Mommy said I have to brush my teeth & comb my hair before I can go to school

<

OK... I'm ready to leave

Daddy is taking too long to get ready. I think I'll have to drive myself to school

all smiles and ready to roll...

KP & Daddy in front of the school. The only problem KP had was giving up his truck to Mommy & Daddy :)

birthday party

This is merely a teaser ... Margot will update the blog with more details when she has time. Bachan flew to Dallas to help KP celebrate his 2nd birthday. Margot & Dylan decided to hold the party at one of KP's favorite restaurants... Chuck E. Cheese. Granddad Lynn, Grandma Sheri, Meemaw, Papaw Stephen & Mimi attended along with Bachan, Mom & Dad. We missed Grandpa Mike (was called in to work) and Mamaw Frances (was under the weather). A good time was had by all ... especially KP. Grandma Sheri was the queen of the token tickets... every time she returned to the table she had a fistful of tickets ... so at the end of the day KP got a cute little lunch box and stuff to go inside. KP never stopped running around - from the time he got there till we ran out of tickets he was having fun. Here are some photos:

KP was flying high thanks to pedal power supplied by Granddad Lynn & others. He must have used 1/2 his tokens on this ride alone. Someone's arm was probably sore the next day.

now he's driving with his friend Barney ... not nearly as fun as the helicopter

KP steering the car along the track ... there's starting to be a theme here...

KP finally was convinced to put down the truck that Granddad Lynn & Grandma Sheri gave him and open a second present.

And Meemaw gave KP a bright red car!

Bachan didn't get a photo of the nifty biker jacket given to KP by Mamaw Frances & Papaw Stephen... I think Dylan took one. Also not included here are the kid-sized John Deere tractor or the Harley Davidson trike... both are soooo cute.
